Richland, WA- A former Richland city councilwoman is making another run for Olympia.
Carol Moser this evening has announced her candidacy for State House Representative for the Eighth District.
Moser hopes to unseat Brad Klippert, who defeated her in 2008.
Moser describes herself as a moderate democrat who will work with other legislators to make tough unpopular decisions, including reviewing salaries of administrators on the state's college campuses.
"Make sure they are commensurate with what other states are offering, but not out of line. Because what we've seen so far is that maybe they are out of line. Maybe we need to take a closer look at that."
As the Hanford clean up winds down, Moser says local representatives need to be concerned about the shrinking workforce on the area and its impact on the Tri-Cities economy.
Moser envisions the Tri-Cities as the state's hub for energy development, agriculture and business.
She also says Olympia needs to make regulations and taxes more "business friendly," to small businesses.
