KENNEWICK, Wash. -- With 4 wins in their last 5 games, the Tri-Cities Fever are in the thick of a playoff race.
The Fever were practicing at Kamiakin High School Wednesday night because of all the graduation ceremonies at the Toyota Center.
The Fever have 3 games left in the regular season and if they can win on Friday night at Kent, they will win a playoff spot and knock Kent out of the playoff race.
"This is a big game for us," said Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "When you talk about rebuilding a program, to have the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot your 1st year, it says a lot about these guys."
"I feel like I'm with a group of guys who believe and who are strong," said Fever Quarterback Houston Lillard. "They don't give up because we could have easily bowed down when we started off 1-5 but Coach kept faith in us and he didn't ever give up on us. We had to take what he told us and turn it around and we did that."
