Kennewick Farmer's Market now at its new location in Southridge
KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Kennewick Farmer's Market is now at Southridge. Thursday (June 3) is the first at it's new location off Highway 395 and Hildebrand Road in Kennewick.
The market will be open every Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. for the rest of the summer.
Whitney Maldonado, an assistant producer for the Kenenwick Farmer's Market, says 18 vendors are set up for the opening night, but by the middle of the summer, more than 40 vendors will be selling vegetables, fruits, and meat, as well as other edibles and housewares.
Maldonado is excited about the new location in Southridge. She says, "It keeps the market in Kennewick, gives us better visibility, and allows more people to come. There's also more parking." She also says a new feature of the farmer's market this year is wine tasting.
