Pasco, WA- After a month-long delay, a high profile murder trial will start Monday morning.
Franklin County Superior Court Judge Cameron Mitchell today asked the jurors whether the new time frame of the trial would conflict with any of the jurors' work or vacation schedules for the next six weeks.
The judge excused one juror, and then swore-in the remaining 13 members of the panel.
An appellate court put the trial on hold last month while it considered the defense team's claim that the jurors know too much about the case of Vicente Ruiz, accused of five murders in Pasco in 1987.
The appeals court ruled the jurors can be fair and impartial.
