FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Cody Bartlett's two-run homer with two
out in the eighth inning lifted Washington State to an 8-6 win over
Kansas State on Friday night in the Fayetteville Regional.

The Cougars (35-20) rallied from a 6-3 deficit with three runs
in the seventh, then took the lead on Bartlett's shot to
left-center off Wildcats reliever James Allen. It was the first
home run allowed by Allen (5-1) this season.

Washington State advances to play Arkansas on Saturday night,
while Kansas State (36-21) will take on Grambling State in an
elimination game.

Connor Lambert (5-1) struck out the only man he faced in the
eighth and got the win. Adam Conley pitched a hitless ninth for his
12th save.
