Richland man fires gun to scare neighbors

Posted: Updated:

Richland police say a fight with neighbors leaves one man behind bars after firing a shotgun to try and break up a party in Richland last night.

It happened at the 1400 block of Swift Boulevard when neighbors say Wayne Ogburn wanted to scare them during a graduation party outdoors.

Police say Ogburn fired a shotgun in the air, and was then arrested with discharging a weapon within city limits and reckless endangerment.

Neighbors tell us it was a scary evening.

"Oh my gosh, you know, it's crazy. My kids are around here. Someone could have gotten hurt," John McBride said.

Police say there has been an ongoing dispute between Ogburn and his neighbors.
