YAKIMA, Wash. -- After a two week trial, it takes the jury two days to reach a verdict in the Korey Ward arson trial. Ward was found guilty on six of the seven arson charges against him.
The six guilty charges are for arson in second degree. Ward was found not guilty on his charge of first degree arson. That was for the Borton Fruit Warehouse fire.
Ward's attorney chose not to comment Monday. Both sides will be back in court this Friday for a status hearing at that point they'll decide when a sentencing hearing will be scheduled.
