PASCO, Wash. -- Two businesses in the Road 68 Plaza are closing their doors.
The Pasco Petland pet store was forced to close their doors last Friday because they weren't getting enough business. They even downsized to a smaller store at the end of last year but it wasn't enough to keep them open.
But they are not the only ones. The Ladies Workout Express in that plaza is also closing, after 5 years. Owner, Theresa Radder says business has been up and down for her, but the last 2 years have been tough.
"It feels terrible. It's like our dream is gone, you know and all the ladies that come here are disappointed and its really tough, its going be a tough time for all of us," said Radder.
Radder says this is not the first business to shut down in the Road 68 Plaza. She says last year Desert Dove books and two restaurants across the street closed as well.
Radder believes it's the tough economy that's keeping people from spending their money.
