NEW YORK. - General Motors is recalling one-point-four million 2006-to-2009 model year vehicles. The automaker says a heated windshield washer fluid system in the cars could short circuit and start fires.
More than a dozen vehicles models have been recalled, including 2006 to 2009 Buick Lucernes, Hummer H2s and Saturn Outlooks.
G-M says it will disable the system in affected vehicles and compensate owners a hundred dollars for the loss of the feature.
Owners who think their vehicle is involved can call G-M customer service or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
