East Valley teacher takes the stand for the first time
YAKIMA, Wash.- East Valley teacher Michele Taylor takes the stand for the first time and talks about her relationships with her students.
Friday's focus was on the student who claims Michele tried to seduce him. Michele says he has a motive because he believes she betrayed him.
After Michele was sworn in she admitted to calling and texting her students. She says she was reaching out to one teen to help him deal with personal issues he had discussed with her.
Taylor says this teen was upset after he learned Michele told her husband about it. Michele says, the very next day, that boy went to school leaders and told them she had sex with another student.
"Said he felt betrayed….the last thing he said was he can walk into school tomorrow and ruin the rest of my life," said Michele Taylor.
Taylor says this teen told the school and detectives that she had sex with another student in the k-mart parking lot. Next week we'll hear testimony from Michele regarding the other student and get her account of what really happened.
