KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever appear to have caught fire at just the right time, in time for what they hope is a long playoff journey.
The team has won 6 of its last 7, going into its regular season finale, at defending champion Billings on Saturday.
"We played there pretty tough last time and we want to do it again," said Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "This time we want to win. We feel like we can win down there. That doesn't come easy. You have to beat the crowd. You have to beat the team and you have to beat the long travel. We need to handle all that really well this week. They're a very good football team."
"I think we are starting to click together as a unit," said Defensive Back Dwain Crawford. "We're starting to bond as a team and it's starting to show on the football field."
