KENNEWICK, Wash. -- A two year old boy was airlifted to a hospital in Spokane after being struck by an SUV while riding his bike.
Kennewick Police say the accident happened Tuesday around 8:00 pm in the parking lot of 1107 W 5th Avenue.
They say 28 year old Gilda Villalobos-Ramirez was backing up and did not see the toddler.
The child was taken to Kennewick General Hospital then flown to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.
There is no evidence of alcohol, drugs or recklessness on the part of the driver. The case is still under investigation.
