Prosecutor investigates civil rights breech in Chapman case
PASCO, Wash. -- The Benton County Prosecutor will testify at the Franklin County Courthouse in August.
That is when Andy Miller will reveal the results of his investigation into allegations that Pasco detectives violated the civil rights of Kurtis Chapman. Chapman is accused of murdering his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Shenay Greenough.
Chapman's attorney says a detective eavesdropped on a jailhouse telephone conversation he had with Chapman, and has asked the judge to dismiss all charges.
