From kit to sky, Zero Gravity helps pilots build their own planes

Posted: Updated:

Richland, WA-The Port of Benton and a local business are providing workspace and tools for do-it-yourself pilots.

Zero Gravity Builders Studio has moved into a renovated hangar at the Richland Airport.

Owner Amber Hanchette says Zero Gravity helps pilots build kit planes, specializing in high performance experimental aircraft.

"They may not have the facility. They may not have the tools or the time to do 100-percent of it themselves. They would like the technical assistance, somebody to give them some guidance."

The company also helps pilots comply with all government regulations.
