YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Yakima based non-profit Children's Wishes and Dreams held their annual Convoy for Wishes fundraiser this morning.

The organization plans wishes for children with life-altering illness or life-altering injuries, from trips to Disneyland to home remodels. The pancake feed and car parade help fund those wishes. On average it costs almost $5,000 to put together a wish.

"Every fundraiser that we have is crucial to our being able to fulfill the many wishes that we've had. Since the start of the year we've had 19 wishes," said Heidi Anderson, president, Children's Wishes and Dreams.

All of the money raised helps children locally in the Yakima Valley. The Yaki-Vegas PT Cruisers and Sun Country Mustang Club joined this year's convoy, which drives from Union Gap to Selah and back.
