Ellensburg man missing since last weekPosted: Updated:
ELLENSBURG, Wash.- Christine Ray retraced her husband's steps and tried to figure out what happened to him. Russel Ray disappeared one week ago and since then his family has not been the same.
"He'd never do this to us, we keep thinking that there has to be something, some explanation, that he will return but a weeks a long time, it's too long to not have hear anything," said Christine Ray.
Russel's wife and daughter were out of town for a wedding last week while he stayed home.
"I know that on Monday night his car broke down along I-90, he was having issues because of his diesel," said Ray.
After his car was towed, family friends dropped him off at his home. They said they saw Russel Ray open his gate, walk down his driveway and go into his home. That was the last time anyone saw him.
"He loves his daughter and I to death, he'd never do this to us," said Christine Ray.
"It's difficult cause you don't know where to search, there's just no rhyme or reason for it," said Robert Collignon, Russel's father-in-law.
Christine searched the house and said it looked untouched. All his clothes was there and his truck was in the back yard. Their 12-year-old daughter is having a hard time coping and her mom says she hopes they find answers soon.
"She's broken-hearted, she's devastated. She is praying he is hurt somewhere and hoping that someone is going to find him," said Christine Ray.
Family and friends are calling around and out looking for Russel Ray.
Detectives from the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office are investigating the case and ask that anyone with information on Russel's whereabouts call them immediately.
