Kennewick, WA- Lucy the alligator starred in today's appearance of the Reptile Man at the Kennewick Public Library.
Scott Petersen kept the kids spellbound with an assortment of snakes, including a Burmese Python, which the kids got to hold.
Petersen has been traveling the Northwest for 20 years, teaching kids about reptiles, and their role in nature.
"I really enjoy seeing the excitement on the faces of the children," Petersen says, "and the satisfaction, knowing that these animals are important to us and people need to understand that."
Petersen and his friends will visit libraries in Connell and Basin City tomorrow. He'll be back in the Tri-Cities on Thursday, making stops at the Kennewick Library as well as the libraries in Benton City and Prosser.
