Kennewick, WA-A woman charged with murder may claim insanity as her defense.
Corrections officers say Phien Sisouvanh refused to come out of her jail cell for today's court hearing.
Sisouvanh arrived a half hour late after the judge sent word to her that she her attendance was required.
Sisouvanh fidgeted and slumped in her chair as her lawyer explained that he hasn't ruled out any defense strategy, including insanity, diminished mental capacity, or denial of the crime.
Sisouvanh is accused of murdering a pregnant woman in Columbia Park and cutting the unborn child from the woman's womb.
Her trial is scheduled for September.
