PASCO, Wash-- The River of Fire has been in the Tri-Cities now for almost a quarter century and this Sunday fireworks will go up once again.
The event is sponsored by HAPO Credit Union, and in the coming hours they'll be setting up hundreds of fireworks displays. If you want the best seat in the house just head to Columbia Park. Fireworks start at 10 PM and this years show is expected to be big.
"This year is another great display planned," explains John Falleen, the pyro technician in charge. "It's a 300 shot, 20 minute display. Over 750 shells, there's some new products involved."
Show up Sunday morning if you want a good spot for the fireworks show. There will be food, vendors and music. It's $7 per car full. It's a family event so no alcohol and no personal fireworks
