Rock blasting to resume this week on I-90

HYAK, Wash. -- Department of Transportation crews will temporarily close both directions of I-90 from Hyak to the Price Creek Sno Park at 8p.m., Wednesday through Thursday.

Crews will continue rock blasting as part of the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East - Hyak to Keechelus Dam Project.

Drivers should plan for an hour of added travel time between 8p.m. and 9p.m.

Crews will restrict both directions of I-90 to one lane nightly from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. from Tuesday, July 6, through Friday morning, July 9, from Hyak to the snow shed (milepost 58). No traffic impacts are anticipated.
