WALLA WALLA, Wash. (by Corvallis Knights) --  Corvallis Closer Mitch Patito of UC Riverside registered his seventh save of the season as the Knights knocked off the Walla Walla Sweets, 6-3 on Tuesday night.

Patito pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record his 7th save, but gave up his first hit of the summer.

The Knights scored 4 runs in the first to jump on the expansion Sweets in the two clubs inaugural meeting.

The four-run uprising was highlighted by a bases loaded two-run single by Daniel Dillard of Western Oregon.

The Knights and Sweets finish their two-game set Wednesday night. Game time is 7:05 pm.
