Kennewick, WA-Summer concerts are helping the Red Cross entice blood donors.
People who donated at today's blood drive in Kennewick received back stage passes for an upcoming concert at the gorge. One lucky donor will also score a pair of tickets to see Elton John next week in Yakima.
The Red Cross says donations typically fall off in the summer because people get busy or go on vacation, but Kaylynn Miller says hospitals need blood year-round.
It's not something that just stops because it's summertime. It's a constant thing and we need donors to give year round and be faithful about it."
If you want to donate blood, call the Red Cross to set up an appointment.
Winners of the Elton John tickets will be announced next week.
