YAKIMA, Wash. -- The man convicted of killing another man during a gang fight in Sunnyside was sentenced to 43 years in prison Thursday.
Armondo Gonzalez, Jr. was found guilty last month on all counts for the 2008 shooting death of Eric Vargas.
Gonzalez was charged with second degree murder, first degree assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
A second defendant, Julian Williams was found not guilty.
Sunnyside detectives said rival gang members got into a fight after someone threw bricks at Gonzalez and Williams.
