KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Leaders with the Kennewick Irrigation District now say they are shutting down the Edison Line early Wednesday morning, instead of Tuesday evening.
Crews originally said the canal would be shut down at 10:30 PM Tuesday, but now say it will be shut down at 1:30 AM on Wednesday. Service should be restored by 8:00 PM that same evening.
They are investigating the structural integrity of a pipe located beneath railroad tracks.
Areas from 10th Avenue, down Edison Street, over to Olympia Street will be affected.
