PASCO, Wash. -- The first center for mothers with autistic children has been open for about a year now and families are taking advantage of their services.
The Autism Resource Center in Pasco has everything a mother could need. In the past, many mothers did not know how to get help. Now more than 52 families are working with the center, and that number is always increasing.
The center has support groups both in Spanish and English, lunch-ins for moms, play group for kids and classes for teens.
It is a great place for kids with autism to meet and make friends. Plus they can help with resources, whether families are in need of food stamps, a doctor, daycare or school references.
All services are free. Classes are held Monday through Friday.
Times: 11:00am to 1:00pm 12:00pm to 2:00pm 1:00pm to 3:00pm
