Children at science camp watch dogs in action

RICHLAND, Wash. -- The kids at the summer science camp at WSU Tri-Cities watched dogs in action on Friday. Bo, a Doberman Pincher, showed the children how he catches criminals, while other dogs tested their agility skills on the obstacle course.

Teacher Craig Peterson says the goal of the week-long camp is to get kids excited about science.

"Every Friday we have a big event, a culmination of everything we learned throughout the week. They get to bring mom, dad, uncles, siblings, to just enjoy it with them," said Peterson. Earlier in the week the kids learned about other animals, including fire flies and octopus.
