Ellensburg, WA-- Some nationally renowned percussionists have been teaching at Central Washington University for the last two days.
The annual "Sounds of Summer" percussion workshop wrapped up today. Students came from across Washington to brush up on their marching band skills. Organizer's say the experience is much different from what the students normally get.
"I think that what is special is getting to work with both professionals and having an intense 2-day experience where they're forced to learn music really fast", says Mark Goodenberger, Central Washington University's Director of Percussion.
The camp is held around the country but with 111 students, the workshop in central Washington is one of the largest.
