Arrests made in Saturday's homicide in Sunnyside

SUNNYSIDE, Wash. -- Detectives and SWAT teams from Sunnyside and Grandview arrested three suspects Monday night in connection to Saturday's homicide where a 15-year-old was shot and killed.

Officers arrested Alex Bueno, 18, Mayra Sosa, 18, and Jorge Galindo, 18 in the 500 block of Yakima Valley Highway, 1100 block of Decatur Avenue and 1100 block of Tacoma Avenue in Sunnyside.

Bueno is being held on first degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. Sosa and Galindo each face second degree accomplice to murder charges.

Several outside agencies assisted in the investigation including, Mabton and Ferndale Police, Whatcom County Intelligent Analyst and the Yakima County Prosecutor's Office.

Police said the victim, David Baldonado of Sunnyside, died from multiple gunshots to the torso.

The shooting happened Saturday night on Gregory Avenue.

Police said the shooting is gang related.

Sunnyside police in a statement said they are working "diligently and around the clock to ensure the safety of the citizens of the City of Sunnyside."
