Firefighters battling large fire at old Boise Mill

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Fire investigators tell KNDO damage is well over $1 million from the fire at the old Boise Mill site.

Building 12 received extensive damage. The approximately 60,000 sq. ft. building stored several auction items, including vehicles and old mill equipment.

Agents for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms have been called to the fire to help with the investigation.

The three alarm fire began around 6:30a.m. Wednesday morning.

Crews from Selah, Union Gap, West Valley and Yakima responded to the fire.

Residents say they heard several sounds of explosions.
