Yakima man faces stolen motorcycle charges

NEAR ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- A Yakima man remained in serious condition Thursday after being thrown from a stolen motorcycle.

Troopers said Thomas Sluman, 23, was seen traveling at about 90 mph along the highway around 9:30a.m., during a high-speed chase Wednesday.

Sluman crashed the motorcycle into a patrol vehicle and was thrown off a bridge near Ellensburg, falling about 25 feet.

Troopers said he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Sluman faces charges of felony eluding, driving with a suspended license, and possession of a stolen motorcycle.
