US Congressional candidate holds picnic and concert in Yakima
Yakima, WASH--In political news, Democratic congressional candidate Jay Clough spent today in Yakima.
His campaign co-sponsored a free community concert and picnic at Sarge Hubbard Park. Clough is running for the 4th district congressional seat held by Doc Hastings. Republicans have held that seat for most of the last 95 years. But Clough feels there is an anti-incumbent sentiment in the country. He's hoping that will making people open to hearing his message.
About 50 people were at today's event. Other democratic candidates for local offices spoke briefly. This was the third community concert Clough's campaign has put on in the district.
