Project Linus gives 10,000 blanket for a good cause
RICHLAND, Wash. -- A local volunteer group celebrates their donation of 10,000 blankets to babies in need.
Today project Linus gave out their 10,000th blanket at Kadlec Regional Medical Center. The family awarded the hand made blanket says they're grateful to be picked and believe it will help comfort their 2.1 pound newborn baby.
"It's a great accomplishment and for us to be selected out of so many other babies that are in there. It's great," Shane and Jessica Murphy said.
Project Linus is a group of volunteers making blankets for pediatric patients who are ill or traumatized.
