Canyon View Elementary School was shown off today after a year of remodeling.

The school now features larger classrooms, skylights and a full size gymnasium.  In addition, new electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, and heating and ventilation systems have been put in. The walls of the building may still be 32 years old, but much of the inside is brand new.

"We call it a remodel but when we get inside I think of it as a brand new building.  I know the teachers, parents, students, and I are really excited to move in," says principal Mark Stephens.

The ribbon cutting ceremony took place this morning at 11:30 for staff, students and parents.
