Pasco, WA- A Franklin County judge has pushed back a high profile murder trial once again.
Last week Superior Court Judge Cameron Mitchell granted the defense a change of venue in the case of Vicente Ruiz, accused of five murders in a Pasco auto body shop in 1987.
Mitchell says he can't set a new trial date until he knows which county has an available courtroom.
The judge also wants more information on whether it would be easier and less costly to drive jurors from an outside county to Pasco every day for a trial expected to last up to six weeks.
So far, only court administrators from Douglas County have indicated they have an available courtroom for a trial this fall.
The judge has also temporarily sealed police files identifying informants. Prosecutors say they don't want those names given to friends of the defendant.
