PASCO, Wash. - The Burger Ranch in Pasco off Oregon Avenue will be donating a dollar for every Fat Boy burger sold in August to the YMCA's Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Fat Boys Fleet Services, East Pasco Tire Factory and Western Industrial Technology will also be donating one dollar per "Fat Boy" sold. Burger ranch owner Ed Mulhausen set a $3,000 donation goal, and he thinks the tight knit community around that area in Pasco will come together to raise the money.
"Our primary business is lunchtime over here and it's the guys that are in the area. The truck drivers, delivery guys, postal workers. The guys who work all around us, that's who our customers are and that's who is going to end up supporting this...I'm sure," says Mulhausen.
Mulhausen hopes to double his "Fat Boy" sales to around 160 burgers each week. And he says most of that money will go towards scholarships to get kids off the streets, and into the Martin Luther King Jr. Center.
