Two girls could be charged for motor home fire

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Two 12-year-old girls could face charges of first-degree reckless burning after a motor home was destroyed in a fire back in June.

Yakima city fire investigators say the girls admitted to "playing with fire" inside the 1977 Dodge motor home, that was a total loss from the fire that began inside the vehicle.

Estimated property damage was $1,000.

The fire investigation began June 11 in the 600 block of S. Naches Avenue in Yakima.

Charges have been submitted to the Yakima County Prosecutors Office requesting the girls be charged.

Investigators are not releasing their names at this time.
