Fashion show benefits new hospice facility

YAKIMA, Wash. -- It's fashion week all across the country, including Friday night in Yakima.

The third annual "Fashion Front" event begins at 5:30 p.m. for social hour, with the fashion show at 6:30 p.m., followed by an after party that runs until 10 p.m.

Tickets are $30 at the door. The event will have food, drinks, and music.

Models will be showing off several items that are sold from the local boutique stores. They will also have vendors on site selling these items.

Money raised from tickets sales will go towards helping to build Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital's new Cottage in the Meadow hospice facility. The facility will serve patients from Memorial Hospice, Kittitas Valley Home Health & Hospice, Lower Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, and Yakima Regional Home Health and Hospice.

"It's (hospice care) a wonderful thing. I had experience with it. Can't say enough about it. And I just think it's something that people can get behind and feel good about their money's going toward that," said Michelle Wyles, owner of Garden Dance & Rain Dance in Yakima.

Friday's event will include special guest model, Yakima's mayor Micah Cawley.
