Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash.  A 24-year-old woman is raising money to travel to eleven different countries in eleven months to perform service work.

Saturday was Krystle Wilcox's last big effort to raise money for the mission.  She sold $5.00 raffle tickets at the Kennewick Coffee House.  So far she has received $6,000 and hopes to raise $3,000 more.

The donations go toward a program called The World Race.  60 volunteers from around the U.S. will build houses, work in orphanages, and serve in soup kitchens in eleven different countries.  The money will pay for her $3.00 per day food budget, plane and bus tickets and mission supplies.

Wilcox will leave on October 2nd for Guatemala.

If you want to donate to her mission, go to www.krystlwilcox.theworldrace.org.
