Bottled water advisory in Burbank

Posted: Updated:

BURBANK, Wash. -- If you live in Burbank in Irrigation District 4, you are advised to drink only bottled water starting Monday, Sept. 20th.

Department of Health leaders say the advisory is in effect because of a maintenance project that will cause the irrigation district to rely on a well with unsafe nitrate levels. The district is doing work on a water reservoir.

District 4 serves a little more than 200 homes and a dozen businesses on the western edge of Burbank, near the Columbia River. That includes the area east of, and including 2nd Ave, north of Humorist Rd., west of the Columbia School District and south of, and including Poplar St.

The project is expected to last four weeks, with the advisory in effect the entire time. There could also be brief disruptions in water service.

The irrigation district will supply bottled water to customers who request it. If you have any questions, call 509-302-5694.
