RICHLAND, Wash -- The City of Richland is launching a new website. It is part of the City's five year information Technology Plan to integrate technology for the improvement of communication and services that Richland provides to it's residents.
The unveiling happened Monday morning in front of city hall and was presented by City Manager Cindy Johnson and Mayor John Fox. Johnson says this has been a year in the making. It will feature all aspects of the City of Richland, from garbage pick up to the library and parks and recreation information. The website will present a seamless communication vehicle, making the city easily accessible to residents.
Mayor John Fox says, "this website, we hope will enable people to access information about the city services, ask questions, register complaints, and pay their utility bills and so on, much more quickly and readily than they can with the present website."
The website even features a Citizens Request Tracker, an application that allows people to report bad road conditions, power outages and other civic issues via use of the website or their iPhones.
