According to a recent report by the National Insurance Crime Bureau, Washington state is a big hotbed for car thieves.
Yakima is ranked 6th highest in the nation for auto theft rates in 2009.
Several of the cars on this year's theft list have made appearances before. Topping the list is the 1992 Honda Accord, and the runner-up is said to be a 95' Honda Civic.
We talked with one woman today who didn't want to be on camera, but said her Accord was stolen three times in the span of one month.
The new numbers released show an average of 73 cars a day are stolen in Washington. That averages out to three every hour.
Police say to always be sure and roll up your windows, lock your doors, park in well-lit areas, and put valuables in the trunk.
