RICHLAND, Wash. -- -River's Edge High School Students in Richland had a special experience Tuesday. James Okullu from Northern Uganda came a long way to visit them.

Okullu is 19 years old and has lived in a country in a civil war his entire life.

He's touring the Pacific Northwest advocating peace and an end to the 23-year-long war in Uganda.

He is traveling with the non-profit organization, Invisible Children in an effort to raise money to rebuild 11 schools in his homeland  devastated by the war.

"If the world is aware about the dangers of war it won't only end the war in Africa and Uganda; it will make the whole world peaceful," says Okullu.

Okullu will also speak at Battelle at 7 PM Tuesday night. Click here for a link to the Invisible Children website.
