ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- As the Central Washington Wildcats prepare for their trip north to take on Simon Fraser this weekend, they must remember to pack the running game they had last Saturday against Dixie State.
On Saturday, the Wildcats used their ground game to get rolling right from the start. Senior Bryson Kelly had 88 yards rushing on just 16 carries and scored 3 touchdowns including putting 6 on the board with a 30-yard run.
Coach Blaine Bennett was impressed.
"Bryson Kelly is a very physical runner," said Bennett. "He's a bruiser. He's 235 pounds. He likes to run over people. It was nice this week that he had a 30-yard touchdown, that he actually made 2 or 3 people miss. But, he is a bruiser. He is very physical and he likes that very physical part of the game of football."
