KENNEWICK, Wash. - Business continues to boom in downtown Kennewick and now another shop is opening their doors. Rock reactor will be the newest hotspot.
The rock and roll nightclub will play host to several local bands and hopes to bridge the gap between age and music. Co-owner of Rock Reactor, Ron Conley says this has been his dream for years. In fact, he used to play at this exact spot back in the 80's.
"The rent was good. And a lot of the other places we were looking at the rent was twice as much. There's no table or chairs, you know, we were basically going to have to bring in everything. This was just a really good opportunity and a good spot," said Conley.
Conley and his business partner bought the club for about $60,000. That includes renovations and liquor licenses.
