ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- The Central Washington Wildcats were given a huge gift when it comes to their schedule. They play 8 of their 11 games this season in the state of Washington.
But, right now, Central is on the road for their next 2 games.
This Saturday, the Wildcats head up north to British Columbia to take on Simon Fraser. This is all on the heels of the Wildcats big 43-21 win over Dixie State last weekend.
This is the Wildcats first trip to Canada since 2000. They are 16-8 north of the border.
Coach Blaine Bennett knows his team has a lot to deal with heading up north.
"This is the first time we've got to go across the border so there is a lot of paperwork," said Bennett. "There's a lot of passports to get ready for and an opponent that we don't know very well. They are very big and physical inside, not as athletic out on the perimeter and hopefully we can take advantage of that."
