PASCO, Wash. -- The new Same Day Surgery Center opened its doors Wednesday at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco. Leaders at the hospital say the $2 million project will help meet patient needs.
It was also built to give patients more privacy and help take away nervousness they might feel before and after surgery.
Dee Hace, the observation manager said, "we've expanded how many patient rooms we have. We've increased the number of GI labs. It's just wonderful to have."
Building the Same Day Center* started about two years ago. Hospital leaders say the goal has been to make the area aesthetically appealing while giving new space to practice advanced technology to help patients.
