WEST RICHLAND, Wash.—The Tri-Cities has many events honoring soldiers who have died fighting for our freedom. But Sunday, families they left behind were honored.
The fourth annual ‘Time of Remembrance' brought in friends and family to West Richland from five different states.
During the weekend, friends and family received help in processing their loss. They also met parents, siblings and spouses who understand.
On Sunday, a Memorial Ceremony took place to wrap-up the event. During the ceremony, 475 fallen soldiers were remembered.
The families who attended didn't have to pay for anything. A golf tournament fundraiser that happened on Friday helped with travel and hotel expenses.
