RICHLAND, Wash.—The fourth annual Badger Mountain Time Trial happened on Sunday.
Riders were sent up the Skyline Trail on 30second intervals. They biked up about 2.5 miles and then flew down about 1,000 feet. They competed against their own times from previous years. Bikers say they were having a great time being outdoors and doing something they love.
"Anytime you can get out on your bike outside it's always fun for us. But pedaling our bikes up the hill and having the ability to ride single track both up and down the hill, there's an adrenaline rush and there's a fitness aspect that we enjoy," Greg Tureen, mountain biker.
The trial was put on by Benton County and the Chinook Cycling Club. All proceeds from entry fees will be donated to the friends of Badger Mountain to support trail developments.
