PASCO, Wash. -- Freshman and Sophomore girls from Delta High School learned about manufacturing at Columbia Basin College on Wednesday.
The program called Girls Learning about Manufacturing or Glam, or GLAM, exposes girls to the non-traditional field of product manufacturing.
The girls were assigned to teams and had to design, build and present a project.
Traci Jao, the Project Manager, said, "our goal today was trying to encourage them to consider into these different fields, different careers and enlighten them in how to improve their lives."
GLAM is presented in conjunction with the annual Gesa Smartmap Expo.
