RICHLAND, Wash. -- Three wineries on property that is technically in Benton County, but in the middle of Richland city limits, are trying to join the city. Richland city leaders plan on bringing it up at the city's council meeting Tuesday night.
Bernard Griffin, Bookwalter, and Tagaris wineries along with a number of other property owners will discuss annexation for land near Queensgate and Columbia Park Trail.
Bill King, the Richland Deputy City Manager, says, "some are currently on city utilities and have agreed to participate in future annexation, others see advantage in being in the city in terms of advanced services and the cooperative things we can do."
The discussion will take place tomorrow evening at 7:30 in the Richland City Council Chambers.
